    The Head of Operations and Strategy will oversee all corporate-wide operations and operational strategy. Primary functions include oversight of Banking/Deposit, Loan Servicing, Private Banking and Wealth Management operational effectiveness. This individual will lead and manage the team responsible for all back office servicing and operational functions for our multi-region bank. He/she will implement new strategies to continually enhance our operational effectiveness; manage the policies and processes of the group in a cost effective manner; provide superior client experience and maintain strong controls and regulatory compliance.


    • He/she must have strong leadership competencies with the ability to set clear expectations and objectives, and communicate regularly with the team about priorities and performance.
    • Develop, manage, review and adjust, key processes and performance metrics designed to optimize performance of the team and the quality of execution.
    • Coach and develop strong leaders and maintain high morale and employee empowerment and engagement.
    • Work with existing staff to mitigate risk.
    • Establish and implement policy, procedure, and process to ensure proper financial and operational controls are in place in compliance with all laws, regulations, contracts, and policies.
    • Manage a team of 85+ professionals in a bi-coastal environment that is often very demanding and has high quality standards.
    • Establish and maintain effective partnerships with key stakeholders across the bank.
    • Manage a variety of applications systems and third party service providers to ensure that service levels are met.
    • Communicate operational issues to executives and provide solutions.
    • Maintain management reporting, metrics and statistics and strive to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.


    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred.
    • At least 15 years of related business management experience in banking operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership position in banking operations
    • Call center leadership strongly preferred
    • Experience with core banking applications (FISERV, Nautilus, Encompass) is highly desirable
    • In-depth knowledge and experience in leading and managing core banking operations functions
    • Experience with Salesforce and workflow design
    • In-depth knowledge of the principles, policies and practices of banking and regulatory rules. Strong experience working with internal audit and regulatory bodies.
    • Ability to develop new policies and procedures in response to, and in anticipation of, changes in the business and regulatory environment.
